On a recent trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico we discovered an artist, John Schaefer, whose work is quite exceptional. His paintings are executed on gourds, and are design reproductions of museum pieces.  They closely resemble pueblo pottery without the costly price tag.  The pueblo pottery designs are so masterfully reproduced and graphic that the result is stunning. On this trip we were intent on locating the artist and acquiring his work for our gallery.  We feel sure his work will appreciate in value over time. Our trip was made more enjoyable because of our delightful visit with John and his wife Marla.
