I am a high school graduate who had many aspirations of greatness. Luckily, none of those worked out. I have been doing
leatherwork for over thirty years. Being self taught, I have developed a unique style. I work by myself, by hand with the exception
of sewing machine. All work is hand dyed and decorated with the assistance of a bookbinder screw press. I have perfected
the process of embossing the leather with real leaves. I apply this technique to diverse range of products, such as, wallets, boxes
and journals. Many of the things I make involve the covering of wood forms with calfskin. This has necessitated the development
of my woodworking skills as I make all the forms myself. I have been working with the Christine Linson Gallery for over ten years
and continue to do juried shows around the country.
